Avelo Airlines allows children to fly alone starting at 15 years old. Children 14 years old and under are not permitted to fly unaccompanied and must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or other Customer who is at least 15 years old. Avelo does not allow unaccompanied minors under the age of 15 to make reservations.
Avelo does not provide a separate supervised Unaccompanied Minor service for travelers aged 15 or older. Eligible Young travelers must be capable of independently navigating the airport process and following Avelo's instructions.

Avelo Airlines minimum age for minors flying alone is 15 years.
If you are 15 years or older and are able to navigate the airport and handle the important parts of the trip — security, check-in, boarding and in-flight procedures, you can travel alone. Avelo also says young travelers should be able to adapt to and manage possible flight disruptions.
Avelo recommends that younger travelers travel with a parent or guardian if they are likely to have difficulty with these situations.

If a child under 15 needs to be added to an existing reservation, contact Avelo's Customer Solutions Center. Avelo currently says additional travelers cannot be added directly to an existing booking.
Avelo's Unaccompanied Minor policy says to provide a government-issued ID or passport to confirm that a customer traveling alone is at least 15 years old.
But Avelo’s Young Travelers information says children ages 2 to under 18, including unaccompanied children under 18, don’t need a government-issued ID for domestic flights.
Due to the way Avelo currently words things on its official pages, travelers should check with Avelo before they leave about the ID requirement for their particular trip.
Avelo says a parent or another non-ticketed person can request a gate pass at an Avelo ticket counter. But not everyone who does not have a ticket to fly has guaranteed access to the airport’s secure area.
Official Avelo information does not indicate a separate Avelo Unaccompanied Minor fee for travelers 15 and over traveling alone.

A traveler flying alone should complete the applicable Avelo check-in process before proceeding to the departure gate.
Avelo opens online & mobile-app check-in for eligible reservations 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure time. Avelo says customers should complete check-in at least 40 minutes before departure.
Avelo recommends getting to the airport at least 90 minutes before your flight. This gives you time for check-in, baggage, security screening and getting to the gate.
Avelo does not describe a separate check-in process for travelers aged 15 or older who fly alone. Travelers should use the normal airport process and ask an Avelo Crewmember for help when needed.
